What animals do you have?
I am always keeping an eye out for a fun addition to the farm. Currently there are: mini horses, mini donkeys, a mini cow, alpacas, a potbellied pig, mini & pygmy goats, mini sheep, and bantum (little) chickens.
Do you have pony rides?
I am sorry, I do not have animals to ride of any kind.
I only have a small yard - can I still have the Funny Farm at my party?
Sure you can, our animals are small and can fit in a tight space if they need to. Besides, we all get along very well and could always use some close time together.
What happens if it rains?
If you need to cancel your event because of inclement weather you must notify us by telephone before 8.00 a.m. on the event date. You then have three options:
How much does it cost to have the Funny Farm at my party?
We are very reasonable and can customize packages to your party needs. Some of the factors that will affect the cost include:
Prices for a full event start at $275.00 for a one-hour party, but you can get a better idea of the range of events and costs on our Events and Rates page.
What kind of payments do you accept?
You can pay by personal or business check, in cash, with PayPal, or with a Mastercard or Visa.
Who is responsible for cleaning up after the event?
We run a very clean farm and will pick-up after the animals during the event and then a final clean-up when we are packed and ready to go. If we had the pens on asphalt or a paved area, we will have used bedding material on top of tarps - these will be rolled up and taken away with us.
Is there a health risk with petting farms?
All animals carry bacteria (good and bad) - including us! But there is no need to be overly concerned about any potential health risk as long as suitable precautions and hygiene rules are followed. These include washing and/or sanitizing your hands after touching animals and keeping food and drinks outside the animal pens. It also helps to keep your hands away from your mouth or nose when visiting the animals.
We provide hand sanitizers and have signage reminding visitors to observe basic hygiene rules at all of our events, and if water is available for hand-washing, that is even better. As long as people take normal care, there is little risk of becoming ill from a visit to a petting farm.
Are the animals well cared for?
All of the Funny Farm animals are my pets and treated as such. They get lots of love and plenty to eat. Of course, they would disagree, they could always eat more! The Funny Farm is inspected and licensed by the USDA as a Class C exhibitor. This insures that all of our animals live in clean, safe conditions, with the necessary shelter, bedding, water, and that all nutritional and healthcare needs are met. We just really like to meet new people and get lots of attention!
